How to Write Creative Content When You “Aren’t Creative”
“I am just not a creative person" Do you know how many times I have heard this? Too many to count.
Often, as biz owners, we don't realize just how much creativity is involved in having a successful business.
It's important for...
Creating content.
Writing copy.
Establishing our offers.
So, we get stuck on these tasks because we are telling ourselves, we just aren't creative.
You need to stop telling yourself this story.
Creativity isn't something we are born with.
It's not something we can possess.
It's not an identity.
It's a skill. I like to see it as a muscle that we have to exercises so that it can get strong.
When we sit down to create content, it's important that we find ourselves in a creative flow.
If you feel like the content you're writing isn't good enough, your'e worried people might judge you, or you catch yourself rewriting over and over again, STEP AWAY!
Here are my top tips for getting past these blocks and finding your creativity:
1. Establish a creative routine. before you batch your content, meditate, breathe, or do some yoga. You can also listen to your favourite song or have a little dance party.
2. Figure out what's blocking you. Maybe you are writing for an offer that doesn't inspire you. Maybe you're trying to imitate someone else. Take some time to journal on the story you are telling yourself.
3. Ditch your inner critic. Leave that judgmental voice at the door. Remember that you are valuable and you can do this!
So, if you’re feeling inspired, go write some content! I believe in you!
